New Build Date for
Falcon Park
November 16, 2013
Our build date has been changed to November 16, 2013. Unfortunately, the playground equipment supplier is unable to supply some pieces for our structure for our original build date. For us to receive the 50/50 matching grant toward the purchase of playground equipment from “Let Them Be Kids,” our playground must be built in 2013.
While this isn’t the ideal time to be building a playground outside in Saskatchewan, we consider ourselves extremely blessed to have been chosen for a “Let Them Be Kids” Award. Without their support, we would not be where we are today.
This is not a roadblock, but simply a detour.
Falcon Park will be built on November 16!
We realize that the weather will not be warm, but we are strong Saskatchewanians. We are very lucky to have the school close enough to sneak into and warm up when necessary, and there will be hot beverages available all day long.
Our focus on November 16 will be on getting our play structure built. Because of the later date and cooler weather, we will be unable to paint the mural or do landscaping. There will still be activities for the kids that day. We will also be serving lunch to our very important and valuable volunteers.
Grab your toques, gloves, boots, and long underwear, and join us on November 16 to build Falcon Park!
